POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed Group Facilitator is a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team and is responsible for the development, implementation and management of curriculum and treatment of youth referred to the Child & Adolescent Group Services (CAGS). The Licensed Group Facilitator is responsible for the clinical planning and execution of therapeutic day treatment groups.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Provide professional clinical services and documentation thereof, including, but not limited to:
    1. assessments
    2. treatment planning
    3. group therapy
    4. skills building
    5. case management 
    6. discharge & aftercare planning
  2. Responsible for providing the administration of appropriate therapeutic groups to youth within various clinical topics as directed via curriculum based on individual client treatment needs.
  3. Responsible for group/team leading and clinical planning of therapeutic groups and individual clients involved in CAGS.
  4. Provide required amount of delivery hours per week.
  5. Supervise client activities and is accountable for whereabouts and safety of clients during CAGS time.
  6. Protect clients from physical and emotional harm toward themselves, others, or the environment including use of the Therapeutic Crisis Model of Intervention, utilizing physical restraints if necessary for safety.
  7. Assist in crisis intervention, problem resolution and process discussions with clients on an assigned and an as needed basis.
  8. Responsible for the planning and knowledge of curriculum of groups being led. Curriculums must be based upon individual client treatment goals and supported by treatment team plans.
  9. Responsible for following the planned curriculum and documenting when there are changes from the clinical planning for clients.
  10. Report all special incidents and documents the same to CAGS Supervisor.
  11. Attendance to staff meetings, as necessary for youth and family.
  12. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Stays current with all training requirements.
  2. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  3. All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  4. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment.  All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  5. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  6. Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Education: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling required. Masters Degree preferred.
  2. Licensure: Valid Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
  3. Skills/Competencies:   
  • Knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, systems and methods in family therapy, group therapy, child psychotherapy, DSM 5 diagnoses, and behavioral therapy. 
  • Core Expertise: Possesses skill, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up to date.
  • Cultural Competency: Demonstrates awareness, sensitivity and skills in working professionally with diverse individuals, groups and communities who represent various cultural and personal background and characteristics.
  • Interpersonal Communication: Communicates clearly using verbal, nonverbal, and written skills in a professional context; demonstrates clear understanding and use of professional language.
  • Professional & Ethical Conduct: Adheres to professional values such as honesty, personal responsibility, and accountability; applies ethical concepts within scope of work and adheres to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Functions effectively as a member of a professional team that includes employees, clients and family members.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Recognizes problems and responds appropriately; gathers information and sorts through it to identify and address root cause issues; makes timely decisions
  1. Experience: Experience working with children, adolescents and their families.
  2. Other: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the Agency’s insurance company.  Must be approved by Bellefaire to transport clients in own vehicle.

  • Salary range is $50,000 - $52,000 per year depending on relevant education, experience and licensure.
