Position Summary: We are looking for looking for a School-Based Therapeutic Behavior Services Specialist. Under the administrative/clinical supervision of the School Based Clinical Supervisor, you will provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) to clients, their families, and/or significant others as needed. You will engage with clients in school and community settings and work to provide support - including education and consultation - for parents and/or caregivers, case coordination, and symptom management and monitoring.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Accept assignment of cases from the supervisor to provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services for clients, their families, and/or significant others as needed, including: community organizations, schools, other health and social service professionals, the justice system, and other agencies involved with the client.
  • Accept case assignments – stepping down from a higher level of care – from the clinical supervisor and jointly develop tasks and interventions that implement treatment goals
  • Develop and review the client’s treatment plan, provide assistance and support in crisis situations, provide education and consultation for families and/or significant others regarding the client’s mental illness, etc...
  • Recognize the significance of the parent and/or caregiver in the client’s life and demonstrate the skills to engage the client, primary family, and other supportive adults in the treatment planning process.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or related human services field.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.
  • A valid driver's license, vehicle, and auto insurance coverage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations with complex psychiatric needs and experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.
