Program Summary: Bellefaire JCB’s Residential Treatment program offers several distinct residential programs located in secure units across our 32-acre campus. Our programs treat individuals that may have significant mental health and psychiatric needs, including co-occurring mental health and substance abuse needs, among others. We provide individual and group therapy, partial hospitalization, psychological evaluation, psychiatric evaluation and chemical dependency assessment and treatment. Our programs include our Intensive Treatment Unit and our Transitional Living Program, as well as our Autism Residential Treatment program, which serves as a part of our Monarch Boarding Academy.
Intern Position Summary: Under the administrative/clinical supervision of the Residential Case Management Supervisor/ Field Instructor, The Residential Case Management Intern provides services to youth who reside with us as a part of our Residential Treatment Program. Alongside our multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and staff, you will assist in providing clinical care to our clients and families.
Intern Experience Details: As the Residential Case Management Intern, you will provide the following services, including, but not limited to:
- Acting as an advocate for the best interest of the client
- Assist in the development and coordination of treatment plans with treatment stakeholders
- Assist in the facilitation of individual and specialized group therapy
- Participation in weekly team meetings and department trainings
- Other services necessary to the enrichment of the internship experience
Location: This role will be onsite at our Shaker Heights Campus.
Hours: Field hours are flexible. Evening work should be expected.
Qualifications: This internship is open to second year Master’s level students. Therefore, a Bachelor’s Degree is required and you must be currently enrolled in a Masters level Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapy program. A SWT, CT or LSW is also required.
