The JBBBSA Facilitator is responsible for supporting Bellefaire JCB’s Jewish Big Brother Big Sister Association. The Facilitator will assist with event planning, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and match support. Further, the Facilitator may maintain contact with a small assigned caseload as well as provide support on an as needed basis. Some weekends and evenings will be expected to maintain contact with mentorship matches and assist in event planning and recruitment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Play a lead role in planning and managing recurring events for JBBBSA, including, but not limited to, the annual fundraiser and Volunteer Appreciation Annual Meeting.
- Actively attend local community events and establish professional community relationships to recruit appropriate mentors for the program.
- Lead committees of JBBBSA volunteers related to group outings, volunteer engagement, and recruitment.
- Assist in the maintenance of data related to fundraising and donor retention in collaboration with JBBBSA and Wingspan Care Group’s Development Department.
- Maintain and distribute a recurring program newsletter to Bigs, board members, community sponsors, and other relevant parties.
- Assist in providing supportive supervision to a small number of mentors, mentees, and guardians, as appropriate, to help maintain the integrity of mentoring matches (community based) through the entire match life cycle (i.e., interview, training, introduction, supervision, assessment and closure).
- Remain in compliance with JBBBSA program standards, including specified documents, policies, practices, procedures and materials.
- Responsible for all administrative aspects including, but not limited to, record keeping, supervision, attending staff meetings, monthly individual meetings with mentors, guardians and mentees, overseeing volunteer committees, and being in attendance at program/Agency events and outings.
- Serve as a resource person, referral source and advocate to Bellefaire JCB and other appropriate community services.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and program standards.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
- Assist with and attend special events and annual meetings as required.
- All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Respect the privacy of mentees and clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Master’s Degree required.
- Licensure: Valid Ohio LSW preferred.
