Position Overview: Monarch School’s Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals who are expected to provide the highest caliber of instruction, behavior-programming, and data collection in individual and/or small class settings.  Monarch School’s RBT is supervised by Monarch School Intervention Specialists/Supervisory Teachers.  Clinical supervision is provided by qualified RBT Supervisors in accordance with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board® requirements. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide behavior intervention services based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other development disorders.
  • Follow prescribed behavior skills acquisition and behavior change protocols.
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Collect, record, and graph daily behavioral data, participating in data collection efforts including but not limited to that in support of functional analysis of behavior.
  • Actively participate in supervision with Behavior Analysts, to include attending ABA group supervision meetings twice monthly or as scheduled by the Behavior Analyst Supervisors
  • Serve as the classroom liaison to the Behavior Department as evidenced by engaging in on-going collaboration and reporting of student incidents
  • Provide training for other staff on behavior analytic principles as determined through clinical supervision
  • Conduct preference assessments and assess reinforcement strategies
  • Assist Behavior Specialists and Behavior Analysts with functional assessment procedures
  • Conduct fidelity checks to ensure proper implementation of behavior and/or instructional procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a related field (Psychology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Special Education, etc.) or related experience 
  • 1 Year Educational Aide Permit – Ohio Department of Education
  • Registered Behavior Technician ® certification from BACB®, including annual renewal and registration
