POSITION SUMMARY: 
We are looking for a part time Independently Licensed Therapist for our Jewish Day School. The Therapist will provide guidance and instruction to foster emotional, physical and mental growth of students through therapeutic intervention and positive role modeling. As the therapist, you will primarily provide professional clinical consultation and prevention services, in addition to individual counseling, group counseling, family therapy, aftercare planning, and termination reports. This Therapist will collaborate with the entire school team to benefit the social emotional growth and needs of the students attending.  

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  1. Provide professional clinical services, including but not necessarily limited to:, biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans and reviews,  individual counseling, group counseling, family therapy, CSP, prevention,  consultation, aftercare planning, and termination reports.
  2. Consult with professional staff at the school regarding treatment planning, progress, and ongoing needs in a timely and consistent manner.
  3. Provide mental health-related training to teachers and other school personnel.
  4. Contact and meet with parents of children who have been referred for mental health services for purposes of intake.  Contact may include home visits on an as-needed basis.
  5. Provide back up to other program staff as needed.
OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  2. All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  3. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  4. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment.  All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  5. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  6. Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of Jewish religion, customs and traditions required. Minimum Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field;
  • Valid Ohio LISW, LPCC.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, systems and methods in family therapy, group therapy, child psychotherapy, and behavioral therapy.
